During World War II, I served  as a B-17 heavy bomber pilot with the U.S. 8th Air Force 305th Bomb Group. Located within England, I flew 35 missions over Germany.

Revival of interest in a box of old correspondence between my wife and myself during that period has led to this memoir - of dreams after World War II, love, and the gift of survival.
